How the 45-minute Free plan meeting limit works in Meetup1
Quick answer: Meetup1 Free plan meetings can run for up to 45 minutes. The host receives a 5-minute warning at 40 minutes and a 1-minute warning at 44 minutes. At 45 minutes, Meetup1 ends the meeting for everyone and closes the active session.
What happens during a Free plan meeting
- From the start of the meeting until 40 minutes, the meeting runs normally.
- At 40 minutes, the host sees a 5 minutes remaining warning.
- At 44 minutes, the host sees a 1 minute remaining warning.
- At 45 minutes, the Free plan time limit is reached and Meetup1 ends the meeting for everyone.
What happens at 45 minutes
- When the Free plan time limit is reached, Meetup1 uses the same end-for-everyone meeting flow available to the host. Participants are notified that the meeting has ended, active media connections are closed, and the room is moved out of its active meeting state.
- The 45-minute duration change does not increase the Free plan participant limit. Check the current Pricing page for the latest participant limits and paid-plan meeting durations.
If you need a longer meeting
- If a meeting is likely to run longer than 45 minutes, review the current Business and Premium plan options before the meeting starts. Paid-plan duration and feature availability can change, so use the Pricing page as the current source of plan information.
- After a Free meeting ends, you can create or schedule another meeting subject to the current account and plan rules.
