How screen sharing works in Meetup1 meetings
Quick answer: Use the meeting screen-sharing control and choose the content your browser allows you to present. Host permissions and browser or device support can affect whether sharing is available.
Starting a screen share
- Open the sharing control in the meeting toolbar when it is available to your role.
- Choose the screen, application window, or browser content offered by your browser.
- Confirm the browser sharing prompt to begin presenting.
- Stop sharing from Meetup1 or from the browser’s active-sharing indicator when you are finished.
Host controls matter
- Meetup1 includes host-managed meeting controls. A participant may be prevented from sharing when the host has restricted screen sharing for that meeting. If you do not see an available sharing action, ask the host to review the meeting permissions before assuming there is a browser problem.
Troubleshooting screen sharing
- Make sure your browser and operating system allow screen capture.
- Check whether your meeting role is allowed to share.
- Close sensitive windows before sharing an entire screen.
- If the browser picker does not open or a share ends unexpectedly, reload the meeting and retry after checking browser permissions.
